Our Gites
We have four gites, all very individual, located in the north of the Poitou Charentes in the Deux Sevres (79) department.

La Châtaigne
Three bedrooms, sleeps 7
A lovely spacious family home filled with many character features. The open plan downstairs has a fully fitted kitchen through an archway, a log burner for the colder months in the lounge area and a separate sitting room/sun room. There is also a downstairs WC.
Upstairs are two double bedrooms, one with en-suite shower room, one bedroom with two sets of bunkbeds plus a child's single bed, and a family bathroom. Sloping ceilings and beams add an abundance of character. Outside there is a built-in barbecue and covered patio area with outdoor furniture.
La Rose
Two bedrooms, sleeps 4
Our first converted grange has original posts and beams and sloping ceilings upstairs, with a delightful double height to the living area downstairs. The ground floor is again open plan, with a kitchen equipped with a fridge, microwave, cooker and dishwasher, dining area and lounge/TV area with fireplace, and French doors opening to the patio. The spacious shower room is upstairs, along with two bedrooms, one double and one twin, with exposed stone and beams. Outside is a patio table and barbecue.
Le Tournesol
Two bedrooms, sleeps 5
The second grange forms half of a converted barn with a through lounge, dining area and kitchen equipped with a fridge, cooker, microwave and dishwasher, and downstairs bathroom with shower over bath. The double staircase leads up to the bedrooms either side of the main roof beam. The bedrooms are arranged as one double and one twin, each with a velux window in the sloping ceiling with its original beams. French doors open to a lovely private decked patio with outdoor furniture and a pretty wisteria.
La Lavande
Two bedrooms, sleeps 4
Hidden away in the far corner, this summery cottage forms the other half of a converted barn from Le Tournesol. Larger parties might want to rent both these cottages together. It retains original beams and sloping ceilings upstairs. The ground floor is open plan, with a kitchen, dining area and lounge/TV area. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, microwave, cooker and dishwasher. The shower room is also on the ground floor. Central stairs lead up to the two bedrooms either side of the main beam of the roof. There is a double and a twin, each with a velux window. Outside is a patio table and barbecue
